have a valid provisional driving licence. You can apply for a provisional driving licence
from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The application form (form D1)
can be obtained from your local Post Office.

The driving theory test has two parts, part one is a multiple choice test of 50 questions, you will need 43 to pass and part two is a hazard perception test of 14 video clips in which you will have to identify 15 developing hazards.  You have 57 minutes to complete the test.

This consists of fourteen 1 minute video clips featuring different types of hazards, including pedestrians, other vehicles and road conditions.  As soon as you see a hazard developing that may cause you to change direction or alter your speed you should react by pressing the mouse button.  The earlier you respond, the more points you will receive.  The test has 15 assessable hazards with a maximum of 5 points for each hazard.  The pass mark is 44 points out of a possible 75.
